About

ABOUT

Hi I’m Jess! Welcome to JBL.

I first found my passion for performing when I was 3 years old. I began taking LAMDA examinations aged 7 and worked my way up until I achieved my LAMDA Gold medal. I went on to graduate from Bath Spa University with an Acting Degree. I now teach LAMDA offering children and young adults a range of skills that will serve and support them throughout their education and beyond in their chosen career paths.

I believe that LAMDA gives you the ability to enter any room or any place with confidence. It brings out every child’s individual personality and the freedom to have fun and let go.

TESTIMONIALS

“Hi Jess. We were both really impressed with you and thought you were outstanding. Thank you for delivering a lovely lesson to both kids. Both children loved the lessons with you.”

“I cannot recommend Jess highly enough. She has such a wonderful way with children. My now 8 year old daughter started Lamda with Jess 7 months ago and in that time her confidence has grown massively. I only wish I had found Jess sooner! I never would have believed that my daughter would recite a poem to an examiner. Not only did she do this but she did it off by heart, full of expression and loved every second! I will forever be thankful to Jess for helping her believe in herself more and am sure Jess’s lamda classes are something my daughter will be enjoying for a long time to come!”

“When our 7 year old was due to attend 7+ assessments, Jess had come highly recommended to help with interviewing skills. We have no doubts that the skills learnt enabled him to feel confident and face any challenge.”

“On a final note, I have to say a big thank you to you for all the amazing work you have done with the children. I see improvements every day in both of them - and that is down to your hard work. LAMDA is something we want to keep doing for many many years, so please continue to book us in every single week at the same time. We want to work our way through the exams, but most importantly to help the kids develop with their speech and confidence.”

My 7 year old daughter has loved Jess’s LAMDA classes from day one and has always been looking forward to attending her class as it is full of lively, fun games and activities. As parents, we have happily noticed that the class has transformed our little girl into a much more confident and expressive talker who can communicate much more effectively. Thanks so much Jess for the amazing class!”

"She is really enjoying lessons, its done wonders for her confidence- she comes back from your lesson bursting with positivity."
